10.01.20. Toronto—This year at IDS, BLANCO will immerse the industry and consumers in a romantic tale with the kitchen sink through an experiential space, while underscoring the company's reputation and dedication to quality, service, design, and innovation.
Amidst the chaos that comes with scouring Canada’s largest design show for the latest products, ideas and installations, BLANCO will provide visitors with a mini outdoor oasis. Titled “As Well”, this oasis will be a sanctuary to pause, reflect and be heard. By partnering with Arc & Co Design Collective, BLANCO will bring to life an adaptation of a wishing well. It was once believed that any spoken wish into a well would be granted. Since water is a source of life, wells were thought to be sacred, and being the source of water in kitchens all over the world, this concept truly aligns with the essence of BLANCO.
This empathic, voice-activated exhibit will entice its visitors to participate in BLANCO’s design process by making a wish; and in return, will respond with a new idea. This experiential exhibit reflects BLANCO’s ongoing commitment to designing human-centric solutions through the power of listening and will use these wishes to help design better products in the future.
